Sing O' Barren:  Finding Your Voice Through The Tears

If you have ever walked the deep, dark journey of infertility--whether for a season or for a lifetime--Isaiah 54, verse one, may seem like an impossibility!  How in the world could one think of singing?  Crying, yes!  Screaming, maybe!  But singing, not likely! 

Not unless you walk this journey with Jesus can you ever even begin to consider that one day you might sing.  This site is designed to share with you lessons I learned through this journey called infertility and to provide you resources to help you wherever you are on your walk.  Each page contains a truth from God's Word that I hope will assist you in your journey towards healing and hope.  Finally, each page will contain several reflection questions to help you process your own thoughts and feelings.

Please know that if you are not a follower of Jesus Christ then much of what you will find on this website will be unusual and lack meaning.  Only through a personal relationship with Jesus can one truly grasp the wonder and amazement of the healing power of God's word.  If you would like to learn more about how to have that type of relationship, spend some time on the "Getting To Know Jesus" page.

Thank you for taking time to view this site.  I am not sure what brought you to this page but my prayer is that the words you find here will bring you comfort, joy, and peace that can only come through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

My name is Sheri Rowland, and at the age of 37 came to the final realization that I would never bear a child.  Over the years, I have struggled to understand WHY, sought for comfort through family and friends, and searched for scriptures that would speak to my hurting heart. 

 This website is an attempt to share with other Christian women who are struggling with similar struggles that we can be victorius and "sing" even when life doesn't turn out the way we want!
